On 25th October, World polio day was observed at Murshid Hospital, Murshid School of Nursing and Madarsa School of Darul Tasnif to show the determination to fight Polio and increase awareness among the people living in the vicinity of Baldia Town. The program started with walk with posters showing the effects of polio on peoples life. A large number of students and staff participated, thanks to The Marketing Heaven, who conducted the social media campaign.
Later an awareness session was held at the auditorium. During this awareness session various public health experts, including WHO representative talked about Polio and emphasized that polio needs to be eradicated as it is a fatal infectious disease with no cure. The need is to prevent it by immunisation because it is the only solution we have.
This session followed by a panel discussion, quiz & poster competition in which cash prizes were also awarded to the winners.
