Keeping up its past traditions, the Deptt of ObsGyn at Murshid Hospital & Health Care Centre conducted a six-day workshop on ”TBA Training” at School of Nursing & Midwifery. The 22 midwives from Baldia Town and adjascent Hub Div., attended. Ms. Shehnaz Zaman and Ms. Shabnum conducted.
The Workshop was arranged in collaboration with JANUM Network, a social welfare organization which is very much concerned for health of Mother and Child during the pre- and post-natal period of the child birth. Local midwives, mostly uneducated who do the conventional and unhygienic practices during the child births were educated in a very simple and easy manner. These midwives play a significant role in child birth in their communities. No doubt, they belonged to highly underprivileged part of the society where health and education have no means.
An impressive and simple “Certificate Distribution Ceremony” was held to give away them Certificate of Participation and a Delivery Kit. All the participants were very happy and expressed their thanks to the management of MHHCC for the program. They all promised to do all those practices which were taught to them during their training.
